Joe Perry with his Colombian hat - Aerosmith live at Bercy Arena

It took 4 years to come back to Paris, and Bercy was sold out!

The Cocked, Locked And Ready To Rock Tour started in South America in June, then travelled to Europe for some selected dates, before a 2-month long US/Canada leg.

So we were very lucky to have this tour in Paris! There were only 11 European dates!

The Cocked, Locked And Ready To Rock Tour followed those rumors and statements about Steven Tyler leaving the band.
Can you imagine Aerosmith without Steven Tyler? Me neither! Especially after tonight!

The show started with the song Love In An Elevator... and Steven Tyler was wearing a hat that every Colombian would recognize: a Sombrero Vueltiao.

Aerosmith played in Bogotá on May 20 and Steven bought this hat there (That's what he told to a friend that went to see him at the hotel after the show).

These king of hats are mostly worn by the people in the Northern coast, but they're a symbol of Colombia, the place where I was born.
It was a very pleasant surprise to see Steven wearing one of those!

I couldn't take a good pic of Steven with this hat, but here are a couple of pics taken by the Colombian Photographer Mauro González (http://www.maurogonzalez.com/):

Aerosmith brought a big production on the road, with tons of lights, a wall of giant screens, and an almost perfect sound (Even for Bercy!).

Tom Hamilton from Aerosmith live at Bercy Arena

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry do the entire show in the front of the stage. They spent a lot of time on the ramp that divided the pit, in the middle of the audience.

Joe Perry gave us a glimpse of his amazing guitar collection: Gibson Les Paul, fender Stratocaster, a Gibson SG double neck, a slide guitar, another one with a sexy girl on it... he played with at least 10 different guitars!

Tom Hamilton also got close to the audience a few times, and Joey Kramer did a short but nice drum solo.

On the contrary, Brad Whitford was quite absent, hiding behing his beanie hat and his sunglasses.

The setlist was really good because they played most of their best known songs... But it was almost the same setlist that for their previous Parisian gig.
15 songs in common!
Come on! Aerosmith have somo 14 studio albums and countless hits! They could change more than just 5 songs between two shows in the same city.

Where are Crazy? Angel? Amazing? Train Kept'a Rollin'? Same Old Song And Dance? Dude (Looks Like A Lady)? Last Child?
Maybe next time, OK? And I hope it won't be in 4 years!

The band included two songs from their cover songs album Honkin' on Bobo : The bluesy Baby, Please Don't Go from Big Joe Williams and Stop Messin' Around from Fleetwood Mac, with Joe Perry on lead vocals.

Steven Tyler - Aerosmith live at Bercy Arena Apart from this detail, the concert was great: Good sound, good show, good setlist (even if repetitive)... Aerosmith is alive and well in 2010!

The show ended with an electric version of Toys In The Attic, and we went back home full of mmories of a great rock'n'roll show!
