Only 20 mminutes after the doors opened, Bullet was the first band to play at the Sonisphere Festival in Madrid.

Hampus Klang on guitar with Bullet at the Sonisphere Madrid

The concert started with a motorcycle roar, and the song Highway Pirates, played through the loudspeakers.

When the first riff started, the band members came on stage, took their instruments, and continued to play the song live.

Erik Almström live at the Sonisphere Festival in Madrid

This band is pure energy on stage, and they're just getting better and better. I was already impressed when I discovered them 3 years ago, and their headlining 2011 tour was a big metal lesson.

Singer Hell Hofer has improved a lot. He used to be a bit shy on stage, but now he easily faces the crowds, with iposing gestures and his rock'n'roll look.
About his vocal performmance, it was great as usual.

Adam Hector on bass live at the Sonisphere Festival in Madrid

Today Bullet was the first band to play, so the boys had to conquer a new auudience... and they did!

The crowd responded very well to Bullet's songs.
Some people knew the band already and were singing the words.
Many others were discovering Bullet today, and they found themselves headbanging and playing air guitar with their contagious rhythms and riffs.

Gustav Hjortsjö on drums - Bullet live at Sonisphere Madrid

Their short setlist represented all 3 Bullet albums.
One of the best moments was the melodic solo of Turn It Up Loud, sung loud by the crowd!

Back On The Road and Stay Wild were also precious moments for all the headbangers at the Sonisphere.

All band members seemed to be happy on stage and no doubt that they enjoyed the show as much as the crowds did.

They all were smiling while rocking the Sonisphere, especially guitar player Hampus Klang.

It was very hot in Madrid, but during the whole Bullet concert there were guys with a hose, throwing water to the crowds. All we can say is that the concert went from refreshing to wet!

The show ended with their catchy hit Bite The Bullet, during which Hampus, Adam and Erik showed the back of their guitars and bass... so we could reaad the name of the song.

I think Bullet should have pplayed a longer set, but I guess this will be the case at several festivals next year.
I hope so, this band is really full of potential!

The next band was the Spanish Thrash Metal combo Angelus Apatrida. Click here for some pics.
