OZZY OSBOURNE
Graspop Metal Meeting - Dessel, Belgium

First of all, sorry about the poor quality pictures but I couldn't get any closer.

As we were waiting for Ozzy Osbourne to get on Graspop's Main stage, we all knew that the festival was sadly coming to an end.

This was my first Ozzy Osbourne concert and until now it's the only show I've seen. I had of course great expectations about it.

Hey! Ozzy is a living legend and this years the Graspop Festival had only living legends headlining: Aerosmith, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne.

Well, I will lie if I tell you that this show met all my expectations.

Instead of watching The Madman I remembered from music videos and DVDs, I was watching a man who could barely stand on his feet, and who kept screaming mechanically "I can't f**in' hear you".

OK, the man is starting to get old, and I agreee, he's in better physichal form than a lot of people of his age.
But I'm not talking about his voice, which was still very good, even if he has lost something.
Neither I'm talking about his performance on stage, which was good too.

I'm talking about his attitude, which was like I'm doing my job on stage and hope to finish soon.

The rest of the band did a great performance.
It was a pleasure to see Zakk Wylde and Mike Bordin on stage again, and together for the first time.

About the setlist, it was just perfect to me. I heard almost every song I wanted to hear so I can't complain about it.

They played some classic Black Sabbath songs, which Heaven And Hell didn't play on the day before.

I'll say it was an average concert. Not bad, but far less from what I expected from Ozzy.
Anyway, it was great to see Black Sabbath and Ozzy on the same weekend, and well, I can confirm that Black Sabbath with Dio are far better than Ozzy!

Hope Ozzy will do better next time... If there's a next time...
