After the Thrash Metal , Valient Thorr was the first band to play at the Sonisphere Festival in Madrid.

I was really excited about this show, it's the first time I was seeing them but Violent Thorr has been on my radar for some time.

Violent Thorr started with the song Double Crossed, the first song I heard from this band.
If you haven't seen the video clip, check it out here on youtube: fun and rock'n'roll guaranteed!

The sound wasn't very good, but the band gives it all. They're pure energy!

Their greasy rock'n'roll sometimes make me think about Motörhead: loud, heavy and directly in your face without any subterfuges.

It was really hot today in Madrid! From the second song, singer Valient stated "Are You Hot? Are You Muy Caliente?"
He took his T-shirt off during Infinite Lives, letting us see that a huan can be as hairy as a bear ;-)

Valient talked a lot to the audience and used several Spanish words.
He stated that this was the last date of the European Tour, which they made with only one crew member because they had no dinero (money in Spanish)... they do this for the love of rock!

He also made us scream "Me Gusta el Rock'n'Roll" (I love rock'n'roll) several times. This is something that we could scream very loud because we really mean it!

Only 40 minutes passed and it was already time for Valient Thorr to leave the stage... that's short, but they left for sure a good impression!

Well, after Violent Thorr we went from Rock'n'Roll to Death/Progressive Metal... The next band was Gojira.
